Three Singaporean contestants visit a bar on their last night in Taiwan, where Holly, the tomboy bartender, serves Meng Lian a drink called "Love in the Clouds." A fight breaks out, but Meng Lian, a national karate champion, stops it, sparking Holly's love at first sight. Despite the distance, Meng Lian eventually falls for her too.
To save on flights and meet more often, Holly decides to become a stewardess, using her height, IQ, and language skills to her advantage. However, she resists traditional beauty standards for the interview, until their friend Jerry helps her transform.
