Chun Mei faces the waves of a midlife crisis, struggling with the pressures of aging and the reality of her life. On the outside, her life seems perfect: her son is admitted to a top school, her husband Wei Qiang is a successful professor, and she is up for a promotion. Yet, only Chun Mei is aware of her inner turmoil. The crisis worsens when Wei Qiang suddenly disappears, and Chun Mei suspects infidelity. When he returns, he unexpectedly asks for a divorce.
