Best friends Tan Nian and Su Chun He are reborn as the Empress and Empress Dowager, respectively. The system orders them to corrupt Regent Xiao Chen Yuan and the Eastern Depot's Chief Eunuch Qiu Jian Qing within three months. Initially intending to torture the villains to complete their mission, they discover that Xiao Chen Yuan is ruthless yet protective of the people, and Qiu Jian Qing is sinister yet righteous; the so-called villains are merely a fabrication.
When enemy states frame them, the emperor becomes suspicious, and the system forces them to act, the two best friends resolutely protect their loved ones with their own flesh and blood, ultimately erasing the villains' infamy, rewriting their predetermined fate, and living a life of unbridled freedom.
