During the reign of Emperor Wu of Han, Princess Jie You was sent to the western regions for a marriage alliance with the Wusun Kingdom. There, she must learn to adapt to her new life as well as deal with her husband's harem. It is through her efforts that the Han Dynasty prevail over the Xiongnu tribe, and Han culture begins to spread throughout the western regions (Central Asia).
