Seok Goo, a man in his 30s with the mind of an 8-year-old, runs a rice mill in a village. When he helps a runaway girl, Eun Ji, clear up a misunderstanding at a village party, they become friends. Teacher Kim, who works at the shelter where Eun Ji stays, worries about their friendship, but a priest reassures him. One evening, something happens to Eun Ji at Seok Goo's rice mill.
