To save her critically ill best friend, A Zhao, Meng Rao signs a contract with the cold and imposing tycoon Shen Si Lin, pretending to be his fake lover in order to sabotage his arranged marriage into a wealthy family. She originally plans to take the money and run, but instead, he counterattacks by showering her with affection.
Develop feelings? Absolutely not! Meng Rao tells herself: All fake pampering. All illusions. I’m just here to make money!
Until one day, she discovers that she has been nothing but a tool used by A Zhao. She immediately snaps, turns dark, and strikes back, only for the once-cold boss to suddenly become a love-brained man who wants to force his devotion on her.
Meng Rao is stunned: The icy mountain turned into a volcano… this man is actually serious?!
